Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek
The Lake Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek takes you over the high range of the Rolwaling Valley. It lies in the east-central region of the country and the Gaurishankar Conservation Area. The Tsho Rolpa Lake is the main draw for this hike. One of Nepal’s largest glacier lakes is this one. Likewise, you can view the stunning mountain panorama that is behind the lake. The trail leads us to pass through the Sun Koshi River and observe some rice and mustard fields along the route. We’ll tour the historic monastery and the Na village. Itinerary
Day 1, Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.
We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.
Day 2, Drive to Gonggar (1,440m), Stay at tea house
Early in the morning, your guide picks up you from the hotel and takes you to the old bus station to drive to Gonggar by public transportation. Or you can drive by private vehicle but it depends on your group size and package. we will drive through the bumpy road from Charikot/to Dolakha with beautiful scenery.
Along the way, we will drive through Kharidhunga, Charikot, Singati, and finally Gonggar for about 8/9 hours.
Day 3, Trek to Simi Gaon (2,090m), Stay at tea house.
Today is just a short walking day, so late wake up and late breakfast, then continue our journey to Chhetchhet. we have to cross the suspension bridge and then continue trekking to Simi Gaon. It is a beautiful Sherpa village. You can explore the village and enjoy the beautiful view of Mt Gaurishankar from here.
Day 4, Trek to Dongang (2,790m), Stay at tea house
The trek’s height rises gradually but steadily as it takes us deeper into Rolwaling Valley. Along the trail, more Sherpa villages can be seen, and the foliage is beginning to change. After a midday ascent, there is a drop that concludes at Dongang.
Day 5, Trek to Beding (3,692m), Stay at tea house
The hike still moves upward and follows the Rolwaling River farther down into the valley. One of the holy mountains, Gauri Sankar (7134 meters), begins to emerge uphill. The terrain becomes easier as you get closer to Beding, one of the valley’s largest civilizations. The day is a little bit shorter as the walk ascends to higher altitudes.
Day 6, Acclimatization Day
Today is your enjoyable and relaxing day. You can explore this beautiful village and chat with the local people. Visit the historical monastery.
Day 7, Trek to Na Gaon (4,180m), Stay at tea house
Leave for Na gaon after breakfast. It will take you about two hours to hike. As you climb altitude, you should walk slowly and drink plenty of water. From Beding to Na, the journey is spectacular. The slope is home to countless magnificent waterfalls and another monastery. Finally, we reach Na Gaon.
Day 8, Hike to Tso Rolpa Lake 4,580m and Trek descend to Beding (3,692m), Stay at tea house
Early in the morning, we will start our hike to Tsho Rolpa Lake for around two hours. The short but difficult hike from Na to Tsho Rolpa Lake is challenging. Just before the lake, the path changes into a steep stairway that ascends straight away from where it started smooth and straight.
When you arrive at the lake, the milky glacier lake will captivate you. It’s calm, so you can unwind and take in the landscape. You can munch on your goodies while taking beautiful pictures. After that, we will trek descend and stop at Na for the lunch. After lunch continues trekking to Beding.
Day 9, Trek back to Gonggar, Stay at tea house
After breakfast, we will continue our trek and return to Gonggar. It is the ending point of your walking.
Day 10, Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Early in the morning, we will catch the vehicle to drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. It is a long drive so it makes you tired.
Day 11, Final Departure
Today is the last day of this vacation in Nepal; you are saying your goodbyes to the mountains as your tour in Nepal comes to a close today. You can go shopping or sightseeing if you have extra time. Himalaya Darshan Treks will pick you up from your hotel around 3 hours before your planned flight.
