Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1,350m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Documentation and Fly to Nepalgunj, Transfer to hotel.

Today, you have free time till afternoon. This day is required to make Lower Dolpo Trek special permit with your original passport. So completing the  documentation then ready for flight to Nepalgunj. By afternoon or evening flight. It takes about 1 hours to reach Nepalgunj by flight. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 3, Flight to Juphal (2,375m), Trek to Kageni (2,415m). Stay at the tea house.

An early morning 45 minutes flight lands us on Juphal and after a brief sorting and introduction of our crew, the trek finally starts. The trek descends to Thuli Bheri River bank and crosses the River then the trek follows the Phoksundo valley and heads toward Kageni. Stay at the tea house.

Day 4, Trek to Jharna Hotel (3,170m). Stay at tea house.

After breakfast, we will start our journey to the Jharna hotel. Passing through the Chhepka and Rechi village. The trail leads us to Phoksundo river valley. We need to cross this river several times. It is nice walking through the beautiful forest. Stay at the tea house in the Jharna hotel.

Day 5, Trek to Phoksundo Lake (3,730m). Stay at tea house

Today is a short hike and a beautiful day. After having breakfast, we start our trek and ascend to Rigmo Gaon. It is most of the walking uphill, enjoying the beautiful view of Phoksundo waterfall, which is amazing. Finally, we reach Phoksundo Lake. After lunch, you have free time so you can enjoy visiting this beautiful lake. The deepest lake in Nepal. Stay at the tea house.

Day 6, Exploration Phoksundo Lake, Ringmo Village and Visit to Monastery.

A whole day to explore the gorgeous lake waters and their surroundings. Tshowa, a medieval Bon monastery founded over 900 years ago, is close and offers more exploration chances. Hikes to the viewpoint, from where you can enjoy the best view of clear blue water Phoksundo Lake and beautiful Ringmo village. It is the best place to take amazing photos of the lake. It takes about 2 hours to hike from your hotel.

Day 7, Trek back to Chhepka (2,838m). Stay at the tea house

We will trek and descend the same way when we ascend before. Stay at the tea house.

Day 8, Trek to Juphal (2,475m). Stay at the tea house.

After breakfast, we were ready for the last day of walking. we start our trekking by following the Thuli Bheri river valley to Rugged. Then our trail ascends to Juphal passing through a beautiful village. Having lunch at juphal then you can visit at juphal bazaar.

Day 9, Flight to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu transfer to hotel.

Early in the morning, we will fight to Nepalgunj. As well followed by an evening flight to Kathmandu and a transfer to the hotel.

Day 10, Final Departure

This will be the last day of your trip in Nepal. One of our staff will take you and your group to Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu for your final departure. We wish you and your group safe flights with unforgettable memory from your Nepal trip. Hope to see you again.
