Gosaikunda Lake Trek

The Gosaikunda Lake Trek is a short and lovely excursion that takes you to the gorgeous holy lake. This trek is designed for individuals who do not have enough time to complete the Langtang Gosaikunda trek. It’s also suitable for a short Family Trek. One of the most popular Pilgrimage Sites in the Langtang Region is Gosaikunda Lake (4,381m). Thousands of pilgrims go to the lakes during the August full moon celebration. Both Hindus and Buddhists regard this as sacred.

In addition, this trek provides an excellent opportunity to see some of the region’s most attractive communities. Similarly, seeing and exploring holy lakes, climbing lesser summits, and visiting glaciers at a lower elevation are also options. In this journey, the Saraswati Kunda, Bhairab Kunda, Gosaikunda, Ganeshkund, and Surje Kunda are the key highlights. This lake is the headwater of the Trisuli River, which is well-known for its river rafting.

Yes, you need two different permits to visit the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. 1, TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System) and 2, Langtang National Park Entry permit. With these permits, you can allow to visit this trek.

How much does the permit cost for Gosaikunda?

The TIMS card cost is NRS 2000 per person and The National Park entry permit cost is NRs 100 p/p per entry for Nepali, 1500 p/p per entry for SARC countries, and NRs 3000 p/p per entry for foreigners.

What is the highest point of the Gosaikunda Lake Trek?

Mainly the highest point is Gosaikunda Lake height of 4383 meters from the sea level. But if you like to hike Surje Kunda 4585m on the way to Lauribina La Pass. So highest point of this trek is Surje Kunda 4585 meters.

Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1,400m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Drive to Dhunche (1,960m). Stay at the tea house.

After breakfast, we will drive to Dhunche for about 5/6 hours. (by private vehicle or public vehicle, it depends on your package and your group size) On our way to Dhunche, we’ll spend the day traveling through the breathtaking Himalayan foothills. Stay at the tea house.

Day 3, Trek to Sing Gompa (3,304m). Stay at the tea house.

We will spend the day trekking to Singh Gompa, getting incredible views of thick mountain forests and stunning Himalayan peaks along the way. We can visit the local cheese factory and monastery once we arrive in the village.

Day 4, Trek to Gosaikunda (4,381m). Stay at the guest house

The walking trail softly ascends to Gosaikunda via Lauribina after a morning meal in Sing Gompa. Your hikes toward Gosaikunda pass through rhododendron and pine forest. As well as great views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Manaslu ranges, Hiunchuli, and Tibetan peak as highlights of the journey to Gosaikunda Lake 4,361m. Stay at the tea house.

Day 5, Trek descend to Sing Gompa (3,304m). Stay at the tea house.

After exploring the Gosaikunda Lake our trek descends the same way to Sing Gompa. Stay at the tea house.

Day 6, Trek descend to Dhunche (1,960m). Stay at the tea house.

After breakfast in Sing Gompa, the trek takes you downwards to Dhunche, passing through the little settlement of Ramche and other villages along the way. Walking through rhododendron, pine trees, and Himalayan Bamboo will make your journey more fun and lovely today. Finally, we reach Dhunche.

Day 7, Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

We will drive back to Kathmandu on the same road. Transfer to your hotel.
