Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is widely known for its rich wildlife and is especially popular with bird watchers. Notable birds found here include the water cockroach, the Indian warbler, and the dark eagle owl. Furthermore, the reserve is home to charming species such as the black-necked cuckoo and the common yellow-eyed bird. In addition, various animals, including elephants, wild boars, deer, jackals, and the impressive wild water buffalo (Arnas), adorn this reserve with their presence. Arnas, in particular, is a major attraction in this area.

Visitors can spot these beautiful creatures while walking in the woods, riding elephants, or driving through the reserve. In addition, the reserve serves as a natural corridor for wild elephants, a large elephant population in West Bengal.
