The journey from Machha Khola to Jagat takes 5 to 6 hours, going via the Gurung settlements of Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Dobhan, and Yuru Khola along the Budi Gandaki valley.
The day begins with the submission of a trekking permit at the Jagat Police checkpoint and Manaslu conservation office. Our right-hand trekking track leads to Tsum Valley, while our left-hand trail leads to Manaslu Circuit and Larke La Pass 5,135m. We continue our journey via a pleasant wooded uphill path with the Syar River wind to Lokpa.
Our trekking track to Chumling Village (2320m) primarily follows the Syar Khola, a tiny river. Although it takes around 5 hours to walk through the incredibly serene wild countryside with the sound of the river. We’ll need to gain roughly 550 meters of elevation during the trip.
After breakfast, we start our journey with views of Ganesh Himal and Buddha Himal, to reach the town of Dumje, the finest site for a tea/water break. It serves as an energy saver before crossing the river and trekking up to the Gho village for lunch. After lunch continue the trek to reach Chekumpar.
The morning begins with breathtaking vistas of various peaks in the Ganesh Himalaya Range and Buddha Peak, Himalchuli, and Mt Manaslu. Even though there is much to see and do in Chekumpar Village, we decided to travel to Nile 3361m. This is one of the more leisurely days, with only a flat, peaceful walk and a narrow path.
After breakfast, we begin our day ascending to Mu Gompa. You can enjoy visiting old and historical Mu Gompa the largest monastery with spiritual values, beliefs, and trust. Stay at the monastery.
Our trek the same way descends to Chhekampar via Rachen Gompa. It is a nunnery (ladies’ monks) monastery so we can visit this beautiful monastery and then continue until Siyar Khola. After crossing the river we will continue our journey to Chhekampar. Stay at a teahouse.
After breakfast, we will trek to Gumba Lungdang (3,340m) way to Ganesh Himal base camp. Today, the ascend will be difficult due to the narrow and zigzag trail. But it is a beautiful day walk to enjoy the great view of Ganesh Himal. Stay at the Monastery.
We will trek descend from Gumba Lungdang to Lokpa. While you’re down there, you’ll be able to see some incredible landscapes and places.
Today, we will trek from all the way Philim to Machhakhola gaon, which will take approximately 6-7 hours. Today’s walk is a little longer than in previous days. We descend the trail through beautiful forests and rivers. We finally arrived in Machhakhola gaon.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu through the same road, when we drove to before. Transfer to the hotel.
